Forming legitimate melds—which can be runs (three or more consecutive cards of the same suit) or sets (three or four cards of the same rank)—is the mail slots hardwaregoal. Players try to make melds with their hands after drawing a card from the draw or discard piles on each turn. Players must discard one card after melding in order to keep the action moving. The game goes on until a player reaches a set score limit or successfully melds all of their cards.
