Canasta, which is played with two decks of cards, usually has two partnerships with four players. The goal is to crerummy rainbowate "canastas," or melds of seven or more cards of the same rank. While following certain guidelines regarding card values and combinations, players take turns drawing from the stockpile or discard pile in an effort to form melds.
