This early 20th-century variation of rummy has won praise from many for its exciting gameplay and quick tempo. In Gintummy east Rummy, players try to minimize the value of the unmelded cards in their hands while forming melds. Ten cards are dealt to each player; the remaining cards are arranged in a draw pile. The idea of "knocking" is central to Gin Rummy.
