Born Peter Gene Hernandez in Honolulu, Hawaii on October 8, 1985, Bruno Mars was raised in a musical family. His mother was a dancer and singer, & his father was a Latin percussionist from Brookteen patti onlinelyn. Many musical genres, such as rock, hip-hop, reggae, and R&B, were introduced to Mars at a young age, & these early exposures had a big impact on his future musical career. As a young child, Mars started performing, earning experience by mimicking Elvis Presley live. After moving to Los Angeles to further his musical career, he eventually signed a record deal with Motown Records.
