A predetermined number of cards—typically 13—are dealt to each player, with the remaining cards making up the drawluck teen patti pile. To begin the discard pile, the top card from the draw pile is positioned face-up. Players take turns selecting cards from the discard or draw piles in an effort to create legitimate melds. Melds can be sequences or sets.
