Each player is dealt a hand of cards at the beginning of the game. A face-up top card starts the discarrummy leader downloadd pile, and the remaining cards are arranged face down on the table to form the draw pile. Each player alternates between drawing a card from the draw or discard pile and discarding a card from their hand.
