The tile-based game Rummikub, sometimes referred to as Rummy-O, has its roots in Romania in the earllnd slotsy 20th century. It was first played with cards, but in the 1930s it changed to a tile-based format. The game became very popular throughout Europe & then the US, where it attracted a sizable fan base.
