A standard 52-card deck is used to play the card game Rummy Gold, which usually has two to six players. Forming sets (three or four cards of the same rank) and runs (thrvip 3 pattiee or more consecutive cards of the same suit) with the cards in one's hand is the aim. Each player starts the game with a hand of cards. The top card is turned face up to begin the discard pile, and the remaining cards make up the draw pile. Each player draws one card from either pile and then discards one card from their hand in turn.
